Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sure you were the one arguing for LVG and his trust in youth....

Maybe that's the difference between you and me. I wanted him out long back but that doesn't mean I can't give credit where it's due.

This crowd bet us early in the season and are top of the table. We've beaten every team below us which is what we'd only love United to be doing!
This will be a great test for the girls to see how much they've really improved. Fingers crossed!

Your not missing anything from Europe anyway, this is the most depressing sh1t I've seen in long time.

I doubt all those are injured.
Saving a few for the Arsenal game for sure.

Smalling has been fairly **** since the turn of the year. Don't think it's a coincidence either that it's occurred since the pressure on our **** playing style forced us to put less emphasis on possession. He has less protection now and more to do so he's back to his usual poor errors.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,333 ✭✭✭brinty

Jesus above smalling is a disaster waiting to happen
We really need a solid Centre back this summer

Herrera has been hilarious to watch tonight. So bad.

    Edit: Romero is a superstar.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 765 ✭✭✭Dozyart

Romero channeling his inner De Gea with some of them saves!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,638 ✭✭✭✭bangkok

de Gea is without doubt the best keeper in the world.........

no way is that Romero

    unbelievable saves

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

    Romero? Making saves? WTF! :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Im a big fan of his but this has been Herrera's worst game for us.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,846 ✭✭✭✭Liam McPoyle

Not watching the game, don't even care at this point.

As long as we stay in the tournament LVG keeps his job.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Romero always has that in his locker. He's just as likely to make a major **** up as make those saves.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,225 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

    Herrera is donezo after tonight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

The best we saw of Herrera was at Newcastle, has come nowhere near that form since! Love him but good god he's been very poor tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Schneiderlin taking up where Herrera left off!

This is embarrassing when you consider the other team hasn't played a competitive game in 2 months.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,779 ✭✭✭✭jayo26

Imagine paying 71 quid to watch that game... That's more hardcore then homer.

Spurs, Fiorentina, Dortmund, Porto, Villarreal, Napoli, Sevilla, Basel, Liverpool, Anderlecht, Olympiakos, Galatasaray, Valencia, Bayer Levkn, Lazio, Sporting, Ath Bilbao, Marseille.

I don't think that LvG should be saying that the Europa is now United's best chance to get into Champions League! Finishing ahead of this lot won't be any easier than getting up to 4th in the PL!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,225 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

Next week will be our Olympiakos at Old Trafford moment.

    It'll be glorious.

    comical defending.

van gaal just sitting there for 90mins wrecks my head and id say a lot of the players are pissed off with him as well.

    no inspiration, nothing.

    he wont last much longer

As much as Van Gaal has done for you lot, some of the players have disgraced that shirt there tonight. Not a Utd fan, but you're being sold short by some pathetic performances out there. Half-hearted, not fighting for the second ball. Lame.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,473 ✭✭✭Adamcp898

Sisqo is taking the piss out of us

I would agree but then LVG has done nothing with regards motivating or replacing them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,576 ✭✭✭deaddonkey15

Can we just sack van Gaal and let the players manage themselves for the rest of the season. You just can't help but laugh at this stage, what does this guy have to do to lose his job?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,489 ✭✭✭Ordinary man

It really says something when this performance/result isn't even a surprise anymore

Beyond a joke now! This embarrassment might mean the end of LVG.

If I was a fan I would hope that a bit of professional pride would be enough to maintain at least the physical effort.

Oh without a doubt, the attitude of the players has a lot to do with it as well

They should be blowing these guys out of it in the first half, especially when they have been only playing friendlies for the past two months,

Because he won't stand on the touchline and yell at them?

Just hope we don't upset LVG's family any more when we talk of sacking him....

Thats true but they are reflecting the manager not one ounce of emotions or passion from him or his team.

You dont have to yell obscenity at them you can stand on touchline and give encouragement and directions that can help a team, surely 99 percent of football managers can't be wrong.

Van Gaal looks a beaten man on the touchline.

You can only laugh at this stage.

Laughing with tears at the same time. : ( This must be the lowest iv ever felt watching united, even though the result isnt a complete shock.
