Sister bought an iPhone in argos for the young one over a month ago. Christmas present. Opened today, powered on after charging and the touch screen is dead! Argos don't have stock so when she returns it tomorrow could they insist on sending it back to Apple for repair or is there a chance they might do a refund ? In the event they say they have to return it for repair would she be better of dealing with Apple directly herself seeing as they have pretty good customer service. It's a refurb iPhone 4 btw.

Strong chance they will just refund it, don't think Argos send phones away anymore from what I was told.

She got the refund today. No hassles at all.

Argos are wonderful to deal with whenever there is a problem. I only wish there were more stores offering the same level of customer service.

They are pretty good at dealing with returns because they send any faulty/remorse products back to their suppliers and get instant credit.
Great for consumers but suppliers can lose out

If suppliers supplied faulty goods then tough on the suppliers. Dead right that the goods go back to them. What do you think retailers should do with goods that were supplied to them and faulty in their boxes?
