Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Players with head injuries dont generally hold their ribs, wait for a whistle, lie down, wait for a whistle some more, realise theres no free then decide to hold their head

Nearly an own goal there, although would have been ruled out for Fellaini's handbags anyhow.

Stoke doing their best to score for United. That's been 3 nearly into their own net from attempted interceptions.

Having to rely on Fellaini as an attacking option speaks volumes

Fellaini there. . . Where do you start with that?

Your team is losing 2-0, your manager is about to be sacked. . . You have a corner. . . I'll think I'll wrap my hands around the defenders head. . . yeah that'll do it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,369 ✭✭✭LostBoy101

I really hope we get rid of Fellaini. He is just useless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,768 ✭✭✭raze_them_all_

You know whats pathetic?? We all hated the 0-0's now we can only dream of a good result like that. ****ing hell

Fellaini should get a pair of chests stitched onto his feet. He'd be world class then.

    Louis van Gaal's red army!

Rooney being signalled to come on at ht.

Guys and gals. This is it. This is where it turns around. We win 4-2 and go on to win the league by 15 points.

Excellent work agent Van Gaal - report back into Anfield for further instruction for the second half.

If I was Louis I would take Fellaini off and put Rooney on, bad and all that Rooney has been.

aye bloody terrible being involved in the most goals since he came to the club

He wouldn't have made a decent United team

Memphis off, martial left, rooney up top.

Inexcusable really. All the money that's been spent and you have players playing out of position and with zero confidence or joy.

Who would even care what Giggs is saying to LVG - No need to hide his lips .

Time to go LVG...I can't believe we can't create a chance. Watch any game today and there will be a few chances for each side. Even by just luck like.

Losing 66-34 to Stoke, need a serious second half if we're gonna flip that around.

Memphis Depay what on earth has happened to you....brutal

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,606 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Rooney on is a lose lose. He made it clear he left Rooney off for tactical reasons, so putting him on now makes it look like an admission he got that wrong. If Rooney performs well, it solidifies that. If Rooney doesn't, then LVG is probably fired.

Well done on most non-sensical post of the day and it's only 13:36

  • If lvg takes off the wrong player for Rooney I'm gonna be pissed. Depay or Fellani should be clearly the only players that should be picked

Stoke have done well but haven't had to be anywhere near as exhilarating as they were against Man City a few weeks ago. Two horrendous defensive errors from Depay and Young (coupled with an incredible strike by Arnautovic) has given Stoke a 2-0 lead.

Man Utd, aware of what happened to Man City here, have not pressed and have compressed the middle of the pitch to stop Bojan and Shaqiri from picking up space in front of the back four which they did to devastating effect against City. The result is that Man Utd have struggled to win the ball back in dangerous areas. When Man Utd have gained possession they've been far too reliant on long balls to Fellaini, who is being well marshalled both by the Stoke team and the wind swirling around the Britannia. At times, Carrick and Herrera have resembled training dummies, such is their lack of involvement in Man Utd's build up play.

Yeah, it is like saying Liverpool are losing because Klopp wants Liverpool to finish beneath United.

Stoke have been excellent. I think Hughes is a brilliant manager. I would drop affeley for diouf and have bojan no. 10 though

United look terrible. Says a lot there is nothing on their bench

The space Bojan creates by dropping deep gives Arnautovic so much space to make those outside to in runs that have troubled Man Utd.

Maybe Rooney might be in a better position now, p*ssed off from being dropped. He always played better when angry.

Yeah it's all down to La Masia really isn't it?

  • Regardless of what lvg does this is a huge 45 minutes for Rooney

His form has been awful but getting dropped I hope has a positive effect, if he cares enough he should be fuming with what he's watching

If he's our captain its up to him to grab this game by the scruff of the neck and drive the team back into this game

Stoke didn't have to be very good today at all. United are very poor.
Some of the players have clearly thrown in the towel. Shameful on their part.

Only one solution, sadly (as an Arsenal fan).

Or he'll do a Stevie G and be sent off within 45 seconds....

  • Lvg got one call right

    Depay off
