Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have you seen the weather conditions? No way they should be trying anything inventive or slinging the ball wide.

    It's been all season.

Each new match just brings it to my mind again.

Reddan not to be outdone by Marmion.

What was wrong with that? He smacked his arm not the ball....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

I wish Reddan would stop the box kicking.

  • Registered Users Posts: 161 ✭✭Triumvirate

Much smarter from Connacht, using the boot and pressuring Leinster.

    SOB on - great!

Stupidity isn't the word for Leinster trying to win a kicking battle in the conditions.

  • Registered Users Posts: 161 ✭✭Triumvirate

    Screaming for a drop goal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 161 ✭✭Triumvirate

    Big question from Clancy there.

If this is a try, you'd think it's game given the shocking conditions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

    Surely someone touched it down!

Amazing defence Connacht - if they were against any other team I'd want them to win.

    That looked held up

    TRY! Van der Flier!:D

    No visible grounding???

  • Registered Users Posts: 161 ✭✭Triumvirate

Odd from Clancy. Asks any reason and then states "I can't see all of the ball all of the time". The only context I can imagine that comment being made in is that he can't see a grounding.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,817 ✭✭✭b.gud

    That looked held up

There certainly did seem to be obvious grounding

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,806 ✭✭✭corny

I didn't think he got it down.

He said he couldn't see the ball all the time but still gives a try?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,229 ✭✭✭A-Train

    Finally converted some pressure

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,873 ✭✭✭Redo91

Clearly held up! Clancy asked the wrong question in the first place. Bit of a pattern over the last few years of referees f**king us over. No sign of that changing it seems.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

And Sexton adds the extras. That was a great bloody effort. SOB has made a great impact.

Bizarre reason to award the try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,033 ✭✭✭✭Richard Hillman

Not sure about that one. It looked held up. I don't know why Clancy asked the "any reason" question.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 958 ✭✭✭funtime93

Question should've been try yes or no. Ridiculous decision.

  • Registered Users Posts: 161 ✭✭Triumvirate

In fairness to them, Leinster have made far more inroads against the wind than Connacht did so are probably worth their lead overall. Connacht deserve some sort of score though.

Clancy screwed connacht there...should have asked yes or no

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,029 ✭✭✭vetinari

Connacht got screwed over there. Should have asked try yes or no.

Jaysus your man from Apocalypse Now is the TMO! I bet he loves the smell of a ball being held up over the line in the morning!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,026 ✭✭✭Euphoriasean

Clancy didn't see a thing yet he asked any reason I can't award a try. Very odd. Looked held up if anything.

Great pressure and patience looked like the ball was held up but Clancy was wrong in the question he asked but we will take that bit of luck!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,521 ✭✭✭✭mansize

The reason TMO is you can't see a grounding - but Clancy asked the wrong question

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Ah Reddan - get up, PLEASE!

This game is so poor the ref has to pretend there are scores to prevent us all from falling into a coma

It's genuinely hilarious the efforts they go to to make sure Connacht don't beat the other provinces. Not in a million years was that a try. Nearly as bad as the penalty try and yellow down in thomond

    Bloody woeful attacking performance again.

    3 points in 140mins now.

Clancy on his arse and unsighted, how on earth could he ask for an any reason, that said Leinster deserve the lead.

Hang on - Connacht have not scored at all yet, and were lucky not to get a card in the first half.

Clancy made a balls of it but this is rubbish. The amount of times he's missed Connacht tacklers not rolling away for example. He's just a ****e ref. No conspiracy.
