Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Places to Sample Colognes?

Lads anyone know of any places where you can actually get to sample a smell of a men's cologne without buying?

For instance in most chemists you can open the mainstream stuff like Brutt and Blue Stratos to get an idea of its smell but the good stuff is sealed in plastic packaging or inside cabinets, etc.

I'm getting into this stuff now but obviously not gonna buy without knowing if I like it.

Anywhere that sells fragrances will spray some on a strip of paper for you. Take a whiff and see what you think. Stick the strip in your pocket and have a stroll around. Go back and buy it if you still like the scent after an hour or two.

The bigger Department stores are your best bet - Debenhams, Brown Thomas etc Just remember that after 3/4 smells they'll start to blend into the same smell as your nose will find it harder to differentiate so I'd stick to a small number.

Also make sure to sample it on your skin instead of just a strip of paper. Scents often smell slightly different on different people due to differences in body chemistry.
