    Hi all,

Got a loan from a leading Irish bank, was unable to pay and moved abroad. I have recently returned to Ireland to a mountain of letter from debt collection agency's etc...

I'm thinking they are going to take a judgment out on myself,

I now have a bank account with a different company, my question is:

could they seize or take funds from my new account in order to clear debt???

I am going to contact to try resolve, I just want to be sure they cannot seize funds from new account in the interim.

    Regards
    Flakey21

No, they cannot access your new account. But you will need to come to some arrangement with them.

Debt is 2 years old, just worried a judgement would be issued and and they could take funds from my new account.

You're safe with your current money, but your old debt will always hold you back in this country unless you get it sorted, or come to an arrangement to get it sorted, so it is good advice to contact them and start paying it back.

    Good luck.
