Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You can tell the players are distracted by the MVG-BVB match later on tonight.

Leicester do all the simple things right. Press high, keep shape, dont take risks, goo set pieces, work hard. They dont need to fanny about with 70% possession. They are great to watch.

Chance! Albrighton should have done better.

    Jesus Vardy too.

I love the way Mahrez plays ball. It'd be a miracle if they hold onto him.

    Navas for Silva.

Both Aguero and Silva pissed off and both had words with the management.

    Sterling cost £50m
Mahrez cost £400k crazy when you think about it.

Leicester didn't look out of place there. Had City on the ropes for much of the second half.

Good point for Leicester. Keeps them nicely placed after a very difficult run of games.

Eh? City 4 Sunderland 1 on boxing day. We're not United you know!

Thought Leicester did very well and draw was a fair result, but the stats don't indicate Leicester were on top at all. 61% possession and 13 corners vs 1 corner for Man City.

Leicester well worth a CL spot compared to the other contenders.

Bony is pure useless. De Bruyne free as a bird just outside the area and he tries to play a ridiculously difficult ball to Sterling instead.

It's massive liability for City to have him as their second striker.

They really need to buy a striker in January as Augero can't be depended on to be fully fit.

I really would like to see Iheanacho more, he's a lot more lively than Bony. We really could do with another striker though if at all possible.

Fair point. When people refer to "City" when we're playing, it usually means my lot of comedians. Apologies to Mr Palmer!

The squad and resources man city have they should be running away with this league but they never seem to even when they gave won it. Stumbled over the line up against united and liverpool handed it to them.

Good squad or not been missing their 3 best players (Silva Kompany Aguero) for most of season. People always look at their squad on paper and make similar comments to the above. Started the season like a freight train until injuries to those 3 hit momentum. Expect them to put together a decent run once they are all back.

Even now Aguero and Silva still playing themselves into fitness. Kompany out for another month.

    50m on KDB
    50m on sterling
    30m on oatamendi
    40m on man gala
    30m on bony

The fees paid out are astronomical and should be able to cover for 3 players.

Pellegrini just isn't that good of a manager his tactics are very one dimensional.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Yikes thats 200m on five players! Forgot about the magnitude of that spending.

The richest clubs in the PL always have to pay a premium, and I'd say we've done better than Chelsea and United (our competitors in the market) all things considered.

At half-way through the season with the dreadful injury lists we've had, I think Pellegrini's results have been OK. Wouldn't quite rush a change yet at least.

Can't fathom out how Bony, on his current club form, gets in ahead of Kel. Most of the time, Bony gives the impression of not being all that bothered. At least when Kel comes on, he tries to get involved and make things happen. All that most fans of most clubs want is that their players try their hardest and play to somewhere near their potential when they're on the pitch. If that's not good enough, fair enough. Is that too much to ask?
