Awful first half. Liverpool cant continue to play like this and justify not bringing in new faces in January.

Either that or Klopp needs to change his approach with the players we have until summer. But it's not working against teams sitting in

Completely useless for Liverpool, couldn't make smart run to save his arse. Weak in the challenge as well (hopefully that'll prompt him to do something)

Loads of average players in this Liverpool team, we can keep changing managers til the cows come home but we have some real 6 out of 10 players in loads of positions. GK, defensively, mf, up front....lots of players who are just a wee bit better than average from the premiership.

No surprise to me we aren't winning more games.

That was a very poor half of football. May have to mute the second half. Niall Quinn is very irritating.

Firmino has had some bad moments but came closer than anyone to scoring. Coutinho on the periphery is what's costing Liverpool. Nobody up there even if Benteke can nod it down.

So basically like every other team in the league... everyone knows we need a couple of players but wholesale changes are not whats required. The addition of one or two real quality players would make all the difference. Sure just look how different we look when we have a fit Sturridge.

I'm a Benteke fan but he doesn't suit our style at all. Not with the three no.10's we have anyway.

Ah lads I know it's not been great but in fairness these guys are here for the taking. Set up very defensive in midfield and happy to sit back as we pass sideways. Keep it up and the chances will continue to come. Look at how badly they defended the corner when Henderson ran in and hit one - this is a team that will continue to give up chances the more you go at them.

I reckon keep Lallana on. He's been poor but I think he's the type of player who could get in behind or give a little dink in behind for someone else which is what we need. After 20mins put Ibe on and have him run straight at Wes Brown

He gets the odd goal but he's the pace of a slug and seems disinterested most of the time.

Doubt anyone would spot a run in this team. They just seem to be waiting for Sunderland to make a mistake. Don't see any real gameplan from the first half

Coutinho and Firmino look the most likely to score for us with the little pockets the are finding.

Lallana is completely irrelevant and we could easily play with 10 men rather than have him on the pitch.

Benteke has not been the success I felt he may have been when we signed him but in saying that we aren't creating space or chances for him.

Awful awful stuff.

When Sturridge and Ings play they manage to spot them... shame they're both injured. A target man, even one as technically good as Benteke does not suit the style.

Sturridge plays about once a month & I don't remember him getting so many direct balls same thing was happening in August under Rodgers didn't work then either. Ings scored what once?
