Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lucas was man of the match for me. Completely bossed the game when he came on. Such a game changer.

Liverpool completely and utterly lacking in quality

Clyne, Henderson & to an extent Coutihno (he has his anonymous days) are the only players we have who can perform consistently

Emre Can man of the match today. And the back four basically didn't give Sunderland a real sniff.

Finished the year with a win .... I'll take that.

Emre Can, a midfielder, giving shooting advice to Benteke, a so-called clinical striker after the game ends.

    Only in Liverpool.

WTF?! He was only on the pitch 30 mins or less. Emre Can by a country mile MOTM.

I guarantee the ref was waiting to see the extent of Sahko's injury before deciding whether to give a yellow or red. And the way Tyler and Quinn were underplaying it, even questioning whether it should be yellow or not was unbelievable.

Noticed it a few times this season where the ref was walking away when you could visibly see him change direction and make a decision. Maybe I'm not explaining it too good :).

Much harder work than it should have been, but a win is a win.
Our inability to take our chances will come back to haunt us one of these days though

Couldn't blame him. It's been twice now that Benteke could have ended both games early on for us and take the pressure off a bit.

Benteke will round the keeper next time.

True on Can but who were our defence facing tonight? Nothing of note. Clyne mentioned as a polar opposite to Moreno who was headless at times once again tonight

Benteke won us 6 valuable pts
No one else was capable of
To many players allergic to entering box

Happy with the win but in a slight bit disappointed that Liverpool only managed a goal.

This sounds like something a Lucas fan might say regardless.

    Lallana
'' Could of been two or three at the end, we had chances''
While Benteke is standing there with him.
I'm sure he appreciated that little remark

    Fernando Torres would've buried that.

And I'm talking about the current version.

Was watching a show on SKY 1 during the Christmas about funny moments and one was of Torres rounding the keeper and shooting wide it troubled the corner flag more than the goal

Laughed at that myself then realised he was explaining his own miss from Benteke's cross.
