Banjo (that I've always wanted ) for Xmas. How best to learn?

    Just got the banjo I always wanted and now I need to learn how to play it. I haven't a note in my hands so this ain't gonna be easy. Where should I turn. Online videos etc. All advice gratefully appreciated.

    The first bit of advice is to get to know the instrument,just pick it up and get your fingers used to the strings.

    I assume this is your first instrument,if so,start with simple basic plucking,and simple chords.

    Enjoy the experience,and you won't go far wrong.
