Sorry time got away from over the holidays.

As mentioned before we have a fun event coming up on the 16th. The idea is to have a match play between the dubs and non dubs. Still not sure exactly how we will do it but the committee will get together next week to sort the details.

The venue is Rathcore near Enfield in County Meath.

    Date 16 Jan 2016
    Course Rathcore Golf Club
    Start Time 10:30
    Golfers (Orginally Booked) 36

As soon as we have sorted the details I will get teamer invites up.

    Happy new year

    J

    Singles Stableford.

There will be a prize for for the winning score but for the match play there will be a draw sheet. So you play your own score and that will be put against another player from the opposing team. To keep it easy i am going with full diference.

If there are enough players and it is even numbes on both sides we will do a straigh forward matchplay.

Do we have any members here who could tell us what kind of condition the course is in at the moment or anyone who'd played in the last couple of weeks?

I can't commit to this as the missus is due in a few weeks but if come the day I am available and the culchies need one more to even it up for straight match play I will try make it

Word is it's very wet, balls plugging in fairways etc.

It does dry out quickly though so hopefully by the day it will be ok. It's still my favorite course to play in good weather in Meath

The course is wet at the moment after the dreadfulness of the last few weeks. I haven't been up there since early December but I've spoken with some of the guys.

Hopefully we get a good few days of drying before the boardies rock up.
