    Iv used a flavourart tobacco.

Picknmix unicorn milk and the sucker.

And republic of vape rainbow taste.

A drop of sweetener in all but the tobacco aswell.

Tbh i was just going to leave them 2 weeks before trying them, im in no hurry.

Should i shake them every now and then or let them sit?

I shake up my steeping bottle whenever I think of it, just a quick shake, and breathe - give them a smell, see how it's developing. I use an RDA to drip some every now and then. But I can almost tell by smelling when they're ready.

One thing that's pissing me off as much as the nic side of DIY in Ireland - the price of VG! It's disgustingly high over here. When you can get a 2ltr bottle of good, clean VG in the UK for about €7, but have to pay €10 here for 1/4 the amount?? something stinks. And that's from vape specific vendors. If you ever get caught short, you run out of VG and fancy some mixing - well, try €5 for just 150ml from Boots. In the UK they can get 200ml for £1.50 when stuck. Making their Boots cheaper than buying VG from Vape vendors over here.

30ml for approx 3.50GBP or 4.25 euro.that's **** cheap.postage being 6.99GBP its worth ur while filling up.I pay 4euro for a 10ml concentrate here in Dublin. So very worth while stocking up.

Have to agree with you 100℅bout price of diy supplies here compared to UK.I know its a much bigger market but between choice, value and convenience there is no comparison.Don't give me the usual bull bout transportation costs.Still much cheaper to diy but we are in a Rip off Republic.Even Irish online diy vape sites and vendors are very expensive for bases ie.nic,pg,vg and a lot not mentioning name have no nic stock left 3 months before legislation comes in.I would prefer to keep my money local buty hands are tied as comparable UK sites are flawless, half the price to import,so I'll keep going down that root. And as you say boots VG like for like is 3 x times dearer here.No incentive.

chefsflavours do free postage over £30 (need to use parcel motel), always have 10% off with code UKV or POTV and have by far the best selection. I only buy capella/flavorart/inawera from them

darkstar seem to always do 35% off tfa concentrates and cheap vg/pg/nic. not a great selection but all the essentials. think they always have 10% off with UKV/POTV too but no free postage and need to use parcel motel.

that's what works for me anyway, but 35% off 3.50 30mls is just so damn cheap. seriously check them out

Took delivery of my darkstar order earlier and knocked up a liquid using their fruit loops one shot. Very impressed, tasty liquid but could be a bit too sweet for some I imagine

Hi can anyone tell me which concentrate would taste similar to Liqua American Blend?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,756 ✭✭✭Thecageyone

Across the board, I have found that getting my nic, VG and TFA regular concentrates from DarkStar, and my FA/INW concentrates elsewhere - whether it's an Irish vendor like P'n'M for FA, or Inawera direct/eromashop, it works out better than using any other single site.

going to start mixing my own flavours, just wondering if anybody has used these lads before...seems a good price for nicotine included in the mix??

That site belongs to Les from Yorkshire,a great geezer,I have bought many eliquids from him,I thought he closed down because he was struggling to find new premises to run his business in.
He's selling that pre-mixed fairly cheap, maybe to clear his stock,I see he doesn't post to Ireland anymore as the postage price was expensive,he lost alot of profit sending me parcels,he does free shipping in the UK so the PM looks good here.
I am subscribed to his YT channel but his last video was a few months ago,I must check this out...

    I just emailed him...

Postage prices are charged at cost and are typically £4 for UK delivery addresses (up to 1000g) and for rest of World it is £12 per order (not per item)

It's alright if you don't want to handle strong nic - but it'll work out cheaper buying a 250ml of nic, and a couple of litres of VG in the long run. DarkStar are still about the best for this.

I'm only on 3mg of nic.... where do you lads get mixing bottles, syringes, stuff like that? It would be ideal to have a litre bottle with capacity marked on the side....

Saw that last night, commented on it in fact, saying he's got his ratio all wrong :D If that's 20% flavoring, and the nic is PG based along with the mixed main base, he's more like 60/40. For something like that you want to use plain VG if you're aiming for anything close to 70/30

Pick'n'mix have great 100ml bottles, I use those mostly for mixing, direct into the bottle and use fro there. They have syringes also. You can walk into any pharmacy and ask for syringes [without needle points] and they will give them to you. Tell them it's for baking or whatever, I've done it loads, but now I use scales. I still keep the odd syringe for those wider opening concentrate bottles. I fill a 120ml unicorn type bottle with nic for handiness too.

I've actually got 10 x 100ml bottles I ordered a while ago from Gearbest when I first thought about doing it. If I could get my hands on a decent 1000ml lab bottle with the ml content stamped on the side I would just use the premix with the nic and no need for syringes, scals, etc..etc.. i.e. 200ml concentrate + 800ml base (with nic included)..or am I over simplifying it???

Well, you could get a large beaker, or measuring jug and funnel the end mix into your smaller bottles - but if the bottles have narrow openings that can be a bitch, as VG mixes will gloops and gurgle and back up around the opening if it's not wide enough. The 100ml bottles I linked are perfect, because I can just add my concentrates and nic, and free pour VG in to fill. If you got some of these it would make your life even easier by mixing a large batch and pouring into the 100ml bottles. The openings are wide enough for free pouring no bother.

For narrower opening bottles, like the 50 and 30ml ones I often use, I have a 10ml syringe that I fill from the back end with VG and just pump it in.

I always add my nic first, then concentrates, then it's just a matter of topping up to fill with VG.

Any idea where i would get a large volume-marked mixing bottle?

Bottle? no, but a jug would do the same thing, easier even, if you plan to disperse into your smaller bottles after the mix:

Was kind of hoping something like a regent bottle with a lid, so i could shake/steep the mix in the bottle then transfer the liquid to smaller bottles after fully steeped?

A lot of mixers use a milk frother for large mixtures:

    http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/9059289/Trail/searchtext%3EMILK+FROTHER.htm

Like I say, I only ever mix direct into the bottles I'm going to use the juice in. But for large mixes having a large measure jug and a frother is about all you'd need. Just make sure if whatever you get for measuring is as detailed as you can get.

Yeah,I copped that one on,he was definitely heading towards 50/50,he doesn't do much mixing due to all those liquid freebies he gets:D:D haven't seen his bike yet...

I got 10x 100ml bottles off fasttech best thing I ever did. Lovely tips that can fit into any tank and easy enough to pop them open.

I just mix straight into them. Don't know why it took me so long. These are absolutely essential for DIY

I use those small round sweetie type glass jars that can hold 500ml with a 3 inch opening & glass lid with a sealer from the pound shop & use a frother & scales,I don't bother transferring the juice to smaller bottles unless I need them for drippers.I just use pipettes to fill any tanks that need filling.

That's kind of the way I would like to do it...but preferably in a 1 x litre screw-cap bottle with the mililitres stamped on the side for easy measuring...that guy Les has a great one on his site but his shipping is all over the place !!!

Is the opening wide enough to free pour your VG in? They look ideal for me if so

They also have these ones which do look wide enough: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10012272/2081400-empty-long-dropper-bottles-for-e-liquids-5-pack - perfect for Nic/PG too.
