Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Intriguing game ahead here. Everton have been involved in some fantastic matches this season. Spurs looking to keep the gap going in fourth.

    Teams:

Everton: Howard; Coleman, Stones, Funes Mori, Baines; Barry, Cleverley; Lennon, Barkley, Kone; Lukaku

Substitutes: Robles, Jagielka, Mirallas, Besic, Deulofeu, Osman, Galloway

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris; Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Carroll; Lamela, Alli, Eriksen; Kane

Substitutes: Rose, Bentaleb, Son, Vorm, Trippier, Chadli, Onomah

    Referee: Michael Oliver

Suppose the headlines for both is in the wide areas. Deulofeu on the bench. Maybe Lennon's well up for it. Thought Son might start today as well.

Looking forward to this game. The way Everton concede goals I can't see them winning today.

we are way too light weight in mf with both carroll and eriksen starting in tough away game due to dembeles injury :(

the 2prem games we lost this season were also the 2 games dembele missed

going to be a battle of the belgians and id fancy lukaku to score 1 at least due to kyle walker passing him the ball :o

id take a score draw now if offered :D

Baffling that Martinez is playing Lennon over Deulofeu.

Great buildup there. Nearly classically Argentinian really, slow slow slow then fast.

Tell me about it. Mirallas also scratching his hole on the bench.

    Martinez is clueless

Kane unlucky, good start by spurs.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,561 ✭✭✭Winston Payne

Cleverley really struggling with the runs outside and behind him already.

Like a low rent Jordan Henderson.

Brutal from Everton. Playing like a team with no confidence that dont even bother to defend or press the opposition.

Was Barry really questioning that tackle?

It's so easy for Spurs to get their full backs up the pitch. Has Barkely even bothered to go in near Dier? Cleverley isn't a workhorse either. It looks an indulgent team to be honest.

Great finish from Lennon. Terrible, terrible defending, lads turning their backs on it and it not exactly whistling along at a million miles an hour.

    Sucker punch for spurs

Worst performance so far this season from Everton. Totally underserved goal.

    Great goal

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,561 ✭✭✭Winston Payne

Ben Davies nearly lifted that goal out of the ground. So unlucky not to score.

Spurs will struggle last 20 mins because of the pace they're playing at

    Beautiful!!

    Spurs have been terrific.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,561 ✭✭✭Winston Payne

One-all. Great finish from Delle Alli. Weak from Coleman too. Spurs' least complicated move leads to a goal which is a bit of a gas.

Spurs are my second team this season, behind leicester of course.

Wonder if Poch will dip into the transfer market.

Have to agree, spurs are one of the few teams I've enjoyed watching this season.

They need an alt striker so probably. Don't think Berahino would be the right fit for them though.

Poch is my fav prem League manager. He oozes class. I read an article about him and how players under him always come away with skills they never knew they had. My kind of guy. They way he's brought Lamela forward is amazing when everyone was ready to write him off as a le-lemon!

Might be the best manager in the league, myabe they should look for a right back too but upsetting the squad dynamics should be taken into consideration.

we could do with a quality PL proven back up striker to take the pressure off kane... rumours of berahino but id be raging if he signed-not worth 10mil im my eyes never mind 26mil :D

seems a bad apple and we only got rid of adebayour the leech so it would seem a step back to sign another trouble maker to upset the squad
