Is the price of those cakes wrong?

It's actually a carrot cake I really like because it's spicy and not overly oily!

I'll give it a go so. Love carrot cake.

The breakfast deal is running again this weekend:
    - Orange juice €1.50 rpp
    - Sausages €0.79 rrp
    - Black or white pudding €0.79 rrp
    - Rashers €1.59 rrp

The lot for €3, sadly no eggs but still a saving of nearly two euros :)

In my local LIDL they had the products in the deal all together in the 'specials' fridge section.

yeah, 1.99 is the norm as said.

I love the chocolate one, other shops do that style of cake too, you would get them in tesco or dunnes. They actually have remarkably long shelf lifes too, if unopened, so you could buy a few.

I take a thick slice and put it in a bowl laying it down flat, then cut the icing off what is now the side and lay it on top of the slice. Now microwave for maybe 5-15 seconds, you will see the icing start to melt. Spread the icing out over the top. Now put on whipped cream on and its like a proper restaurant dessert.

Stocked up on tinfoil, kitchen towels and chicken wings (which were nearly all gone at 8.30). Didn't bother with the cake.

Wish they'd put the coffee pods on offer though!

nice one. Drinking a bottle or two of champers while scoffing a few bags of crisps sounds like fun to me.
it kind of screws up the 8am avoid the stampede thing though, coz they cant be selling champagne at that hour

Got that champagne at Easter for same price as it is excellent for that price. Remember they wont sell it until 10.30 on Sat and 12.30 on Sunday.

Picked up a pack of goujons and water. There was a woman with a trolley nearly full of the waters on the checkout aisle beside me! I thought there was usually limits on these offers, but maybe not.

I might go in and grab another 6pack of waters and icecream tomorrow.

It says on the yellow label 10 per customer for the water. But as you said I've seen people with trolley loads.

Oh I well believe it, the €8.50 prosecco in Lidl was only €2.50 or something similar in Berlin recently.
