Wow, thought for sure that was the ball game. Great end to the game

    Brady getting absolutely zero protection.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

Whatever happens from here, this is one of the best defensive performances I've ever seen from Denver. They have had no help at all from the offense.

    Wow. Well this a game..

Denver were not set at all & tried to call a T/O from the field.... inevitable score

Game on the line and the clutches the of clutch QB's finds his man!

Still need the two point play of course.

    These playoffs have been ridiculous

This is all on Denver's Offense. Defense has been extraordinary, again.

How Brady has managed any comeback here with that oline is nothing short of amazing. Pretty much all of the Denver front 7 in his face on every dropback

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,478 ✭✭✭Comic Book Guy

    Definition of a clutch player!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,520 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

    Damn it.

Deserved win for the Broncos D, great performance.

Serious ice bath required for Brady. Another good year, but short of OL quality when it came down to it. Amazing last drive to give themselves a chance.

Good luck Denver. NFC will be favourites, but that D gives them a real chance.

hard to doubt the guy ever to still have so much confidence in a qb to make it happen at his age really is incredible

Onside kick and a Rodgers hail mary still possible

So you're saying there is a chance

And that's the end of another good season for the New England Patriots. Hate losing but proud to be a Patriot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

    Denver defence wins the game.

Hope Denver and manning go on and win it now but will probably be underdogs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,372 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Brady had absolutely zero protection against one of the great defensive performances.

    Well done Broncos.

Insane to get this far with all those injuries

The GOAT Peyton Manning gets a chance to go out on a high. Delighted for him.

Hey JRG should the Broncos not have been pulling manning from that game to avoid paying his bonus?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,029 ✭✭✭vetinari

Overall a disappointing season for the Pats.

Not due to this game but to the way they blew the number 1 seed.
I think the Pats would have won todays game if it was in Foxborough but the Eagles, Jets and Dolphins defeats came back to haunt them.

Some defensive performance by the Broncos though.

Yeah and only lose by two points on the road at the end of it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,444 ✭✭✭frostie500

Great game between two great teams. Really interesting to see the likely last game between Manning and Brady dominated by defensive plays but fantastic to show that defence can still win. Great game, shame theres a loser so hard luck Pats fans, congrats Denver fans and lets roll onto the Cards and Panthers!

If Manning wins another ring, does the GOAT debate change given his other records?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,510 ✭✭✭Hazys

That decision to go for it on 4th down, when we get the ball back two more times will be heavily criticized in the next couple of days

You have to put it in context though. To get that close with all the injuries is remarkable.

The fact that both these teams made the AFC championship game is a testament to both organisations. Both teams had to overcome serious difficulties during the season.

The game finally came down to a Broncos defence that is seriously good all season and could carry the team all the way.

Wow! Newton could have ended his game running over the camera man!

What a game. Fair play to Brady and Gronk for that last drive in spite of having no OLine.

Well done Broncos. Deserved winners, though Gostowskis miss in the first half shaped the end of the game.

    Who'd be a kicker?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,917 ✭✭✭Morrison J

Manning's defense winning him games should have zero impact on the Brady v Manning debate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,520 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Just knew Gostkowski's miss would cost us.

Hindsight is great alright. Thought they should have taken the fg myself as the D had been performing well all half.

    Anyway ifs and butts.

Crazy in the year they make the changes to the PAT to make it more of an actual play, it actually decides a conference championship game
