    Hi all,

Any recommendations for good spots in Inniscarra Dam and lakes on where you could catch big bream and roach in the summer

    Thanks for the help

Personal favourites would be Reeves Bridge for roach, there's a nice couple of swims about 500yds from the bridge.

for Bream, deeper water, try Innisleena at the Inniscarra end of the reservoir, there's a small car parking area and the swims can be accessed from an old roadway

Innisleena is VERY deep water all though the year, so be careful.

Both Carrigadrohid and Dripsey used to be a good spot for large bream as well.

    This should help

    1. Innisleena: 1 mile west of the Inniscarra Dam on the northern shore. Stop at the small car parking area beside the lake shore and fish the deep water to the east, off the disused roadway.
    2. Dripsey Arms: West of Griffen's Garden Centre.
    3. Rooves Bridge: The small bay 600m East of teh bridge
    4. The Caumruad: An easily accessible shallow, weedy area. Beside the main road east of Carrigadrohid village.
    5. Carrigadrohid: Fish both banks upstream of Castle Bridge. This section varies in water depth and fishes best when the water is high with minimum flow. For your own safety listen for the hooter which is sounded when water is being released from the dam.
    6. Dunisky: 7 km from Macroom on Cork Road.
    7. Farranvarrigane: 3.5 km from Macroom on Cork Road.
    8. New Bridge: 1 Km downstream from bridge.

Dripsey is the right spot for it when the water is deep. Its a shame that for such a big reservoir it has such little access from the bank.
