"they might have to take a 0-1 back to Anfield, they are set up to counter attack"....Alan "bitter" Smith... Why didnt they counter tonight then instead of pumping long ones ?!!? Cry me a river!!!

When klopp said to the lads they need to pull the strings out there tonight I'm fairly sure he didn't mean hamstrings.

How come the ref was quick to blow it up in the 1st half when Liverpool were 4 on 2 but let that go

Lucas responds with a MOTM display.

Responds to what exactly . He was rightly on the bench for West ham

Hopefully Liverpool can hold that now so the merseyside derby is postponed as flight that weekend are sky high

Are all these hamstring injures down to the games so close to each other or Klopps training methods or a mixture of both?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,912 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    17 shots
    5 on target

Mixture of both and soft ground id say

Probably a bit of both, but mainly due to Klopp's training regime. It's no coincidence that Dortmund were riddled with injuries when he was there, and all of a sudden it's nowhere near as bad under Tuchel.

The guy who was constantly up and down the touchline?!?

They were no worse than Bayern but Bayern just had the better squad to handle it. Every club is suffering from tons of injuries these days. The game is just played at a greater pace and this is a consequence of it.

  • What a let off

    Disappointed for two reasons

    One you obviously know ;)

Second reason. Really wanted to see Walters do well especially for the run in towards the Euros

    Poor finish

Kolo strikes me as the massively eccentric border line camp member of the Liverpool dressing room

I think he act's just like Big E in New Day. :)
Happy with a win but not much of a spectacle

He played like he was on the bench
He was captain against West Ham
    Had a poor game though
    Was great tonight
    Even when in defense

I did not see Moreno in second half
    Did he vanish .

I understand that but it cannot possibly be a coincidence. Look at Arsenal, they have many big injuries every season, there is a reason behind it. Just take one look at our style of play under Klopp and imagine the training that goes into such an intense style of play, we just have to get used to and learn to cope with muscle injuries because we will suffer plenty.

He was up and down the touchline all game. Tho after about 70 mins he noticeably held his position a bit more. Instructions from the manager i'd assume.

That may be true but we always try to rationalise everything even when things are just a coincidence. The fact that we got 3 in the one game is pure chance imo.

If its not then Danny won't last one game on those rare occasions he's fit rather than the usual 3.

Danny would need two prosthetic legs before he plays 3 games for us again.
