55" TV with swivel stand

    Hello,

    What options do I have for a 55" TV with a swivel stand?
    I spotted the Samsung ue55h6400, are there any others?

    Also is it possible to pay in sterling rather than the euro price?

    What is the delivery cost to Dublin for the UE55H6400?

    Unfortunately that particular model is an instore only item, and as such can't be shipped out.
    The only model close to that one in a 55" would be the 55JU6800 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201548-ue55ju6800.aspx at €1279 including shipping and 6 year guarantee

    You can of course pay in sterling but sterling price would only cover delivery to northern Ireland, for delivery to ROI there would be a charge of £6.99, whereas the euro price for a shippable item covers any delivery to ROI

    - Swivel stand
    - 55"


    Nice to have though not necessary:
    - 4K
    - 3D


    Any suggestions? The TV will be used for gaming along with standard TV (films etc) so a low latency is important as well.

    The 55JU6800 does not have a swivel stand unfortunately and is a fixed stand.

    None of the 55" Sony have a swivel stand. All fixed.
    Panasonic 55" are all fixed or the little feet on either side of the screen.
    Again with LG in the 55" all fixed.

    Seems that swivel is elusive these days.

    The 6400 Samsung range does but as mentioned above is an in store only collection.

    Is the swivel stand a deal breaker for you new TV?

    Yep unfortunately due to the layout of the living room.

    (one position for 90% of the time, but need to be moved to point at remaining area when guests are over and want to look at the screen)

    I thought about putting it on a special rotating platform but again that would probably be risky for TV stability.

    OK looks like the UE55H6400 is probably my only bet at the moment. Thanks!
