Laying Tennis Favourites

    I've been betting on tennis for a long time and I noticed that the favourites lose regularly enough. I am curious to see if it would be profitable to bet on the favourites to lose. This is merely a paper trial to ascertain whether or not this would be a profitable system. Matches will be chosen from ATP World Tour and ATP Challenger Tour events, along with certain WTA Tour events. I will not use any particular selection criteria, apart from that they must not be favourite and have odds of at least 2.00; however, I will not be opposing the likes of Federer and Djokovic in the early rounds of a tournament. For the purpose of this log, I will be using a flat stake of €10 on all bets.

    I am genuinely interested to see how this goes.

    Would you not be better laying the favourite rather than backing the outside? For example: Wawrinka v Paire...Wawrinka can be laid at 1.23 on Betdaq while best price on Paire is 15/4. After commission you'd get €51.30 back on the lay compared to €47.50 backing Paire. Difference of €3.80 or 38% of your stake
