Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Poor. Sadly.

First time I heard the song and I don't think I'll be hearing it again.

He has a great stage presence, but his voice isn't great & the background is so boring.

Really surprised he didn't have more power in his voice. He's been belting it out with westlife for so many years, his tuning was good, but the voice was a bit meh...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,930 ✭✭✭PeterTheEighth

That was a good performance. His voice was buried behind the track a bit, but it's not the first song that suffered from that. Good idea to have the keyboard following him through the slow bit at the end (cos he lost timing the last time I heard him trying to sing it alone).

Think he might make it through tho- cheesy as it was ... hopefully there will be lots of European Westlife fans watching and vote for him:)

Surprised by the negative reaction. Think it's one of our stronger entries since Jedward.
Didn't you know he used to be in Westlife.

    Jed 1 or Jed 2?

Well done Nicky Byrne! A very professional performance , He gave it socks and fair play worked the cameras and the crowd like the professional he is. No complaints here

Oh Jaysus didn't realise this was Eire's song. Completely off key. It's awful dirge ! No chance I'm afraid. It's very very weak and he looks and sounds nervous....
OMG this is just shocking. I sing better at 2am in a nightclub when the lights come on for teenage dirtbag :P

Bloody hell people Typical Irish begrudgery.

Did you see the rubbish that was on before him

His was the only song that had a bit of life in it and a catchy chorus.

Nailed on to get through imho.

How is it begrudgery? Just cause the act before him was crap doesnt give his mumbly bleh a free pass.

    That end needed a safeword.

He was dreadful. Nothing to do with Irish begrudgery but having functioning ears.

I'm shocked at the negative reaction to our song. It was the best one so far. The only thing I had a problem with was that his mic wasn't loud enough and he was being drowned out by the music and backing singers. I really think he did a great job.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,842 ✭✭✭✭Andy From Sligo

all very well NB representing Ireland , but i would have liked to see the Voice of Ireland winner (who was it, cant even remember lol) represent Ireland in the ESC.

Katherine Thomas should say "the winner of the voice goes on to represent ESC 2016"

Should be same in UK as well, the winner of the voice in UK (whoever that was) should go on to represent the UK in the ESC

It's not begrudgery,it's fair comment on a poor song and performance in an pathetic contest.
