Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

France break their one rule (like Batman) and sing in English / take a life.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

Don't like France singing in English.

Famous dead French people will be turning in their graves

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

France really wants to win given they have some English in their song.

France should do alright this year.

I part heard on the radio that there is a company or companies that the broadcasters go to to write them a generic english language euro-pop song?
There are professional songwriters, not necessarily in companies, who will write songs on demand. In the USA there are people like Diane Warren; I don't know about Europe, but Gary Barlow writes songs for other artists and didn't mind Malta using one of his songs in Eurovision 2014.

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.
    Wherever you happen to be
    They bring it to you—free.

    — Kingsley Amis
