Dub to Orlando with connection at Gatwick

    Would a 2 hour stopover at Gatwick be enough time to get the connecting flight to Orlando? Is the security check in Gatwick or Orlando?

    you'll be grand - gatwick is a breeze to get through. 2 Hours is actually ideal, as you'll have time for a cup of tea before the US flight without a lot of waiting around.

    Dublin->Gatwick flight - check your luggage in, it will go through to the US (most airlines have agreements) It's a normal flight to the UK, no extra security.

    At Gatwick, follow "flight connections". You will go through a boarding pass check and normal security and be in the "international" part of the airport.

    Once you get to Orlando, you will go through the US border (usually takes 30 minutes), pick up the bags and then go through customs (which is basically handing someone a piece of paper).

    I did it last January. We landed in Gatwick then put hand luggage through security and a woman at a desk afterwards checked our passports and flight details. It worked well.
