Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Three in a row for the first time this season - and fantastically undeserved which makes it all the nicer
Mind you the side certainly played well with 10 men, maybe better!

1 down, down to 10 men, come back to win , Benteke with a seriously cool pen, great way to beat that shower, we owed them that !!!!

Far, far, markedly better with 10, rather than 10+James.

A lot of average performances out there today.....I hope Milner gets a bollocking too, awful display and stupid dismissal......

Delighted with the win, sick of hearing about Palace and them being a jinx......all the sweeter that it was a contentious decision that wins it for us, just for Alan.....

Really impressed with how the team handled going down to 10 men, you would never have known it if you'd just tuned in. We were calm and in control more or less from the 80th minute onwards. Benteke actually showed good movement when he came on and had more shots on target than he has in a long time.

Few gems from Jim Beglin commentating -
(after a Firmino shot got defelected high over the bar) "Usually when you see top spin on the ball like that it means its taken a deflection and is a corner"

"If anyone can, Emre Chan"

Whatever about the performance today, of which there is lots to be criticised.

I like how Klopp has brought in that they keep playing till the end. 2nd injury time win now,Norwich being the last and that rarely happened with Rogers.

The ref didn't want to give us anything today either.......he certainly didn't want to give us the peno......

Sturridge wrapped up and ready for Thursday. Nothing like a smash and grab especially against that cretin pardew.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Lovren also continues to look solid......

Still can't believe Can had to stop with the ball to shout at Benteke to get into the box.

Could not think of a better way to beat a pardew team, happy fcuking days :D

When was the last time we came behind to win like that? I'm racking my brains here but it feels like it must've been the 13/14 season, unless I'm missing an obvious one.

    Qpr away last season?

    Norwich away this season?

Pleased with that. Can't remember the last time a 10 man LFC team dug out a win like it. You always need a quota of them to win stuff.

In fairness, given the average age of the posters on this thread you won't have been alone.

The game didn't really matter but it's nice to upset so many people. Thursday is all that matters.

Norwich a couple of weeks ago when we won 5-4.

Before that, against Fulham in 13/14 is the best I can remember.

    __________Mig_______
    ____Lovern____Sakho______
    Cylne____________Moreno
    ____Hender_____Can_______
    ________Coutinho_________
    ___Firmino______Orgi________
    _______Sturridge___________

With Milner out would like to see Coutinho in central role, with freedom to go forward.

Can't see it happening, but would love Henderson dropped. He's been very poor the last few games.

Took a leaf right out of 'The Rodgers'' book. Galvanised.

Chelsea 1-3 and Norwich 4-5 were both wins from behind in the league, while Liverpool beat Bordeaux from behind in the Europa League and Soton in the League Cup. Points have been won against WBA and Rubin Kazan, and ties rescued against Exeter City for a replay and in the League Cup final but that didn't matter in the end.

Seeing on twitter that it's the first time we've come back from a losing position to win with 10 men.

Looks to be heavy contact on Benteke's heel, heel moves a lot from impact.
Yep looks a penalty now that I see it more clearly. Great decision, one of the best of season. Its good to see a lineman with the balls to change a game in last seconds.
    He done very well.

Blatant penalty, Pardew's viewpoint is that Benteke was going nowhere and there was no one to cross to therefore the contact (which was a foul) didn't matter.

    Rules are rules.

To calm poor Alan down, I think the club should send him a thank you token of some description for helping us make history today.
