Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't think well get there either, but if results go our way this weekend we have a little sniff of it. Still outsiders, but it'd be nice to have a bit of a chance.

I'd have to dust down the top 4 table thingey, everybody must be -20 or something at this stage, barring Leicester.

Read a stat on BBC that City haven't won back to back PL games since October. There's a stat to sum up the season for the "big" clubs.

Klopp going to win the game. One has to admire his ambition.

Such a refreshing change from the Wengers and the Van Gaals of the world who unfortunately have become the very definition of risk averse.

He's a bit down after Arsenals capitulation last night.

    For the 6th season in a row.:pac:

I guess we'll talk about the game in here then.

I would imagine Milner goes to RB and Clyne LB?

Good results this week for the auld coefficient - Juve and Lazio gone. Really surprised by Lazio, reckoned they'd get through comfortably tonight, but they've just gotten smashed first half!

Hopefully Mr. Glass puts in a better performance than last week. Himself and Coutinho had two glorious chances to put it out of reach last week, and we looked better going forward once he came off.

Would have to think this is how it will be. Can is the other possibility for fullback as he plays there with Germany but I don't think Klopp will do it and he's been excellent in fairness in the middle of the park in recent weeks

Did Klopp come off the bus saying 'Boom, boom?' Not much of a lip reader but it looked like he was saying that?

Milner hasn't got the pace to be playing left back for 90 minutes.

    Already caught ball watching too.

I'd keep Henderson but we really need to get an upgrade on him.

Sturridge Way off the pace, worrying tbh long term, where is the burst of pace gone?

He's obviously in as a good luck charm. Responsible for our recent good run so he is.

    FFS Coutinho straight at him.

Get Henderson off now and Pirlo on.

We're in full on panic mode here, I'd be delighted to get to half time without conceding another.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

The amount of times a ball is played forward and Glass hasn't bothered coming back onside is ridiculous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Henderson can't hit a barn door.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

    Milner costing Coutinho a booking.

I expected us to come to Old Trafford and try and make a statement but we seem happy enough to take the win by default that last week more or less guaranteed.

Not hugely enthused by the whole thing, but assuming we get through, it'll have been a job well done over the two ties and us into the next round, which is the main thing.

I'd be an awful lot more pissed off if not for that goal though.

Lovren/Sakho terrific. Clyne clearly woke up with a sudden start and never quite found his bearings, Milner thrown in so won't be too critical of him at left back, Hendo clearly not fit, Can really grew into the game. Sturridge is rubbish, really not sure what to make of him.

After the equaliser qualification was more or less done and dusted, if you found how we played disappointing imagine how Utd fans feel :)

lol, Hendo might be a tad broken rather than unfit, Sturridge is in poor form

    Can and Sakho.

F*cking immense. Strange that some were trying to say the former was on par with Sturridge's performance tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

Lack of hunger from us tonight.

When you have such a clear opportunity to make an example of your greatest rivals and you'd rather just go through the motions - for a manager like Klopp who's pushed the importance of the sheer love of the game so much, it's disappointingly functional.

They've beaten us 4 times in a row in the league and been ****e every time. This meek effort has not sated my desire for revenge.

Job well done and all that boring ****e but disappointed in the performance. Individually fine, but from the manager and the team as a whole it was just incredibly safe.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

I know most defenders dont get a mention unless they've been muck but Sakho was bloody flawless tonight. Didn't put a foot wrong all night.

    Himself and Can were fantastic.
