Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bring it on, there's a reason they are in the EL too

Fingers crossed we won't pick up any injuries between now and those games, Hendo and Sturridge might b in better form.

Jaysus we haven't been able to defend crosses for 15 years!!

That match against Alves was the stupidest cup final ever! No rhyme or reason to it at all. Like 7 a side.

The rendition of you'll never walk alone will be epic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,366 ✭✭✭✭8-10

Would absolutely love to head over for it, even with no ticket I'd say the atmosphere would be great. €37 flight to Cologne with Ryanair at noon on that Thursday, train up to Dortmund....I was very tempted to book

Hey, let them fear us - no manager knows them better, we have a lot of quality in our own team, and our fans are one of the only fans on a par with theirs...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,503 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Klopp should convince Tuchel to turn into into a two-legged game of pinkslips.

If we win, we get Reus, their most valuable player.
If they win, they get Benteke, technically our most valuable player.

Question, If we had avoided BVB until the Final & lost in the final - what happens with the uefa cup CL place?

Our fans haven't been on pars with theirs for a long time tbf. That's what a few poor seasons will do to a club.

Much, much better than we were under Rodgers though in terms of vocal support.

Not awarded at all in that case.

We had to play Dortmund at some stage if we were gonna win the cup so it might as well be now when we're playing ok and getting some results rather than the end of the season when maybe we're not doing so well. If we can beat Dortmund it's our cup to lose imo.

This is what European competition at the sharp end is supposed to be about!! Delighted to be involved in a big European Quarter Final. Great draw.

    You ever been to Anfield?

That comparison is about as valid as Rodgers Allen/Xavi one

The train will cost you more than the flight. The buses are good in Germany if you're doing it on a budget, far cheaper than DB

Well getting the best team left in the draw is only fair , we did get the worst team in the last round !

Can we still give them Benteke if we win as well?

Have to score away and FFS take the chances that come our way because they will. Over the 2 legs vs United our finishing was frustratingly bad.
We'll get a good estimation of where we are. Unlike Spurs I want to see how we measure up to a top side. Obviously we need work in the summer but I see this as a end of year exam for Klopp.

If we get through he's a genius and if we don't the squad assembled by Rodgers & the transfer committee is crap.

    Win win for Klopp.

Dortmund will be the best team Liverpool play this season.

I can't wait to find out which players are ready to step up to the standard that will be required, hopefully, for the foreseeable future.

The dead wood will be found out, without question.

Reus, Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang is like nothing we have faced since Real Madrid last season.

    A brilliant tie.

this is only win win for Klopp if, in a loss, we're competitive.

If we lose badly, I don't care how unbalanced the squad he inherited is, he will not get out scot-free.

I don't think the squad assembled by Rodgers is that crap really. It was Rodgers use of it that was crap.

Yep, did well to get them up there after the players got themselves into the relegation zone.
