Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If Mignolet and Skrtel turn up as characters in an eventual Nightmare on Elm Street reboot, it'll go a little something like that.

I think that's Dortmund's scout team, demonstrating how Liverpool deal with footballs in their own box.

    They're onto us.

I think nights like tonight prove that not wanting your club to qualify for the EL is a very strange mindset.

Liverpool’s record in European competition at Anfield against German opposition:

    Played: 17 Won: 14 Drawn: 3 Lost: 0 F: 44 A: 4 GD: +40

Also If Liverpool avoid defeat against Dortmund, the Reds will become the first side to go 12 games unbeaten in the competition in the same season

    buy an open top bus

Surely it's cheaper to buy a regular bus, get Sakho to paint it and then cut the top off?

Then we have enough left over for the Treble Winners 2016-17 t-shirts and hats.

Another hugely attacking lineup in a big game.

City in the league was the other one.

But this time it's not down to fatigue or injury.
We could go a lot more defensively with Allen in there but Klopp is choosing not to.

Maybe it won't work out but it's hugely exciting.
He's not here to piss about or play the underdog.

I still think we should concentrate on finishing as high as possible in the league.

Season over unless didi hamman togs out and channels his inner istanbul.

No middle ground with sakho, either amazing or flat out poor. What was he at for the second??

Edit: and the first, playing everyone one onside

I wouldn't say shocking. Only change I'd have made is Lucas and/or Allen instead of maybe Coutinho or Firmino to protect the defence. At the same time, I agree that Klopp should have known what to expect

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,328 ✭✭✭Magico Gonzalez

.....And this is how far behind the curve we are.

Naive and unstable defensively, plodding in the middle of the park. Things that come to light when you face a real class side.

Dortmund would walk the premier league. Different gravy.

That Lallana miss was worse than Borini's shot at his own face.

That's shocking imo. We had the away goal and he played 4 attackers and no defensive midfielder. They're first attack they walked through the middle.

Sakho was hardly at fault for the goal? Absolutely inch perfect ball from Reus, nothing he could do.

Origi giving a textbook lone striker performance so far. His hold up play is unreal. Very impressed by him so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Origi could be that £50m striker we have been crying out for.

Defence played offside, except for Sahko.

However good a player he can be, his brainfarts fck it up for him. He is not smart enough positionally. If there's only one man back in that position it's not because everyone else was right and Sahko was wrong. There is a more obvious conclusion to draw...

In fairness the players in the first one aren't stepping out, they're coming back.

Watching it again he was at fault a bit for the 2nd one. Aubas pace obv terrifying him but poor none the less.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,379 ✭✭✭hefferboi

Didn't cop the offside. Poor defending.

Really think it was a mistake to rest Sakho the weekend. He plays his best when in a run of games and obviously even missing one can knock him out of his stride.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,740 ✭✭✭✭MD1990

    Sakho taking tips from Skrtel.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Outside the first 10 minutes and lack of goal it's been a decent performance.

Really need to cut out the silly misplaced simple passes though. They're killing us tonight but has been a problem all season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,225 ✭✭✭marklazarcovic

coutinho started the fckin mess and has done fcuk all to remedy it

How Milner thinks he is a CM is beyond me the guy should never play in a two man CM again.
