Insurance for Refurbished Phones

    Hi Boardies,

    Does anyone know if it is possible to get insurance for a refurbished phone? I just bought a refurbished iphone, but it wasn't refurbished by the manufacturer.

    Any hints would be great! Thanks!

    Dont see why not they take money from anyone

    Well from what I've been able to see online, most don't do it. I had my last phone insured through Pier Insurance, and I spoke to them today, and they told me they don't insure refurbished phones.

    Another company I was signing up for (Blue Insurance), will only cover refurbished phones that have been refurbished by the manufacturer.

    I was wondering if that is industry policy or if anyone knows of a company that will insure a refurbished phone that hasnt been refurbished by the manufacturer.
