Virus help

    Hi guys, running windows 10, downloaded something dodgy last week from a torrent site looking for a college book, I've got norton and have run it several times, it identifies a trojan and says its resolved, i restart but i have the same issue

    - all Browsers being slow
    - right click leads to a dodgy malware page opening

    Any advice on what else i can do?

    You could also run a scan of malwarebytes or Spybot.

    These packages will not interfere with your current antivirus (norton).

    Failing that, you could burn an antivirus live cd, boot from that and run a scan.

    great to hear it was fixed. yes, scanners fixed virus issues most of the time. but in the future, if scanners cant remove them, try checking on registry and also try deleting the user profile of the browser.
