Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As the very young Bowie perhaps Eddie Redmayne. Guy Pearce as Bowie in middle age.
Finally Gary Oldman or Pierce Brosnan as Bowie as an old man.

Obviously Tilda Swinton. She's already done it. And bowie played her.

    Idris Elba.

We need to suggest Idris Elba for every role or else we'll all look like racists.

I would think he never really became an old man. Not by today's standards.

Just CGI him. And actually we can then use the digital Bowie to hawk Galaxy bars.

    Colin Farrell

Domhnall Gleeson......and his Da (if he shifted a bit of weight) could play older Bowie.

Biopics work best when focused on a single, shortish period.

A Bowie film should either take place as ziggy is getting going or in Berlin with iggy etc...

A bowie film would need the rights to use his songs,
some thin actor under 30 ,
    eddy redmayne maybe .
colin farrell is too macho to play bowie .
Tilda swinton could maybe sing some songs ,not act through the whole film.
Cumberbatch looks nothing like bowie .
Maybe an actor who is not that famous ,would need to be from the uk.
Maybe just cover the 70s, and the 80s .
As he changed his image so much,
it would be hard to make a film that covers his whole career.

I think we should call you a 'gramar Nazi'.

Why would 'Bowoe' replace 'Bowie'? Apart from the more common name, you can also have a bowie knife.

Matt Smith is a good shout, then David Tennant and Peter Capaldi could be him as he ages!

Fassbender as Bowie and Leto as Iggy Pop. Berlin period. Would be nuts.

No one - I'm absolutely sick of seeing biopics of every dead celebrity. FFS Steve Jobs is only dead a few years and they've already made three movies about him.

Rhys Meyers already practically played Bowie in Velvet Goldmine.

    I'd probably cast myself.

Eddie Redmayne is another good suggestion. Perhaps Nicholas Hoult.

Bowie's unique looks would be quite a challenge.

Robert Patrick, who played T-1000 in Terminator 2, and the degenerate gambler that loses his business/son's SUV to Tony Soprano over a card game, used to look a bit like him, but not in recent pictures. He has similar features but looks more like a high school principal than a creative genius.

Scott Weiland had a bit of a resemblance but he's rocking out the great gig in the sky as well.

Brian Molko of Placebo, while not an actor, has a lot of similarities in his persona, changes his look quite often, maybe could pul it off with a ginger wig/makeup etc.

Adam Lambert would do a good job, although Bowie is so unique looking. At least Adam would be able to do a good job covering his songs.

No thanks, he's already f****d up Queen, he can leave Bowie alone.
