Phillips making a big social media case to get signed by the UFC, dont see him better to go and make weight when he actually fights.

Ariel saying there are talks of make Pettis Holloway for the interim 145 and looking to officially strip Conor, making Aldo champ. Interesting times.

He has missed weight once in his career and that was due to a knee injury.

A cracking fight between 2 excellent strikers now with gold on the line potentially and we might finally find out what's going on with Aldo. Sorry, thought that was a bit interesting myself.

He had to fight at a catchweight last time 198lb's instead of middleweight, he missed 185 by 13lb the time before that and got stripped of his bamma belt, clearly has issues and the UFC wont take him with that stuff going on.

The time he missed in BAMMA he had the knee injury anyway. Offered to fight and give 100% of his purse to his opponent. Don't know what happened the last time but I doubt it's too much of an issue if he made it comfortably all throughout his career before that.

This 206 card is looking desperate. Can see them sending out the bat signal to mighty mouse and defend his belt a week later on this. Which would draw an extra couple hundred PPV sales.

Still enough time for them to get on bended knees to Conor and GSP and beg..
They could make a killing off that in pic buys
GSP is in the usada testing pool isn't he

In fairness the fight i'm most looking forward to is the Holloway fight. Its lacking a main event atm but the card still has some great potential fights with cerrone v brown and the korean superboy (he is so exciting to watch) fighting cub swanson.

Really hope they can resolved their issues with GSP and get him in there

Had a look at the usada testing history and he hasnt been tested so I dont think he is yet. Id say after all the Belator pictures from last week its just a matter of time before its official that he signed.

id say itll get downgraded to a fight night at this stage, too close to put together a ppv quality main event unless they do gegard-rumble or something, as the card stands it bombs on ppv

They can't/won't put GSP or McGregor on this card. Tickets are already sold, they're not in the business of leaving millions of dollars on the table when it comes to the gate.

The PPV numbers are going to stink, they'll just have to take it on the chin. It's not like Cormier was going to bring in the numbers anyway. It's gone from a 300k PPV to probably 150-200k

Fogarty and Hammond both lost their finals on the judges scorecards today. Unfortunate, but great showing from the Irish that went over.

Anyone know what's up with Makwan Amirkhani?

3 good wins in the UFC so far and he was training at SBG, but there hasn't been a peep out of him in months (which is strange considering you couldn't shut him up at the start of the year) and there doesn't seem to be a hint at all of a next fight despite there being 2 European events passed since he won in London in February.

Is he still at SBG and has anyone heard what's next for him?

Anyone watching the card Sat night/Sun morning (Fight pass portion) get the impression the UFC glossed over 206 instead favouring to push 207...maybe its due to lack of promotional material for 206 given recent change in circumstance or have they just decided to take the hit on 206 and move on.

They should all be really. Think it needs a mcgregor rousey type to really boost it.

    Bjorn Rebney is still alive?!
