He phrased it very badly, obviously. But I don't think he meant "when I came off steroids".
He was saying he didn't know why the rivalry was such a big deal. He beat him (at UFC 182) "fair and square". As in without the result being questionable due to a failed test. Really poor choice of words.

A list of tainted products ready to go sounds plausible as a preemptive excuse for individual peds. But he popped for two PEDs, both were found in the dick pills.
Plus the teammate that supposedly ordered them online had to prove he bought them within a certain timeframe.


I'm usually highly skeptic of tainted supps/pills. But the detail and timeline for Jones (compared to Chad Mendes's vague nonsense say) makes lean towards it being plausible.

Clomid was on the very same order sheet from his team mate that contained the tainted supp. Something fishy going on there

Yup. His team bought actual clomid also. He tried to conceal it but they knew he received the order on certain dates and made him produce the invoice.
I've a hard time believing they bought dick pills as a preemptive excuse, but let the guy order clomid alongside it.

It's not the wildest theory though, people have gone to extreme lengths to conceal juicing, having a viable reason why would seem like good forward planning for someone who is taking a banner substance.

If people knew a particular drug sold online was tainted. I've no doubt that they'd buy them in advance as "insurance". But if that was the plan, they surely wouldn't order any banned substances at the same time, but we now know that's what happened.

I honestly don't know if taking 2 drugs to recover is likely. But it probably makes it harder to find a non-banned pill tainted with both drugs of choice to make that excuse work.
It's not impossible that this was an elaborate pre-planned excuse, inside info with the bathtub drug lab, buying clomid as tactic to sell the excuse, etc but occrams razor has me leaning towards dick pills being the reason he failed.

Clomifene, it's a test booster and helps you return to normals levels/production after a cycle where your natural production would be diminished.

I don't think so, dick pills like viagra and the like act on blood vessels (they were supposed to be a treatment for blood pressure) not hormones.

Was it viagra they had listed? Clomifene can be used for erectile dysfunction and fertility in men afaik

Yup, it was his team-mate who produced the order sheet, Eric Blasich. On that same order sheet was clomiphene. USADA poked plenty of holes in his story, which is why he got 1 year instead of 6 months like most other people who use the tainted supplement excuse.

The holes they poked were mostly Eric Blasich trying to dig himself out of trouble. Saying he got it from a guy, they changing it. Producing the wrong order etc.

It's not that I think he's clean. I'd actually just expect Jones to have better sources than some dodgy website.

If it was as simple as he was using clomid from that order, it wouldn't explain the other stuff in his results. Unless he was given tainted clomid. Ironic

Bisping also said on his podcast that he will get the win in the first 3 rounds and even ko GSP in the first. Also admitted GSP grappled the life out of him in 2006 but admits hes much better now. Hes planning a 12 week camp. Really looking forward to this now hope its made offical soon
