Hi, I'm in the market for a 55 inch TV.  I will be mostly using it to watch tv to through a Sky HD box and Netflix also.  Not fussed about curved or 3D and not sure if 4K is any real advantage.  Coming from a 10 year old Sony 40 inch. Budget is around €1300 but preferably less.

Hi Veetwin, thanks for the post.

There are a few models worth looking at below your budget -

Sony Bravia KDL55w805 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201427-bravia-kdl55w805c.aspx - at €1069  - a 55" 3d Android TV with Google play and Cast, a great picture, and high refresh rate - The 3d may not be important to you but may be worth considerin as it would have a better processor, which can improve standard HD picture also

Panasonic TX55CX680 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201325-viera-tx55cx680b.aspx - at €1099 - a 55" Curved 4K TV with Firefox OS and quad processor - probably the best overall picture quality at the price, but does have a lower refresh rate

    LG 55UF770 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201296-55uf770v.aspx - also at €1099 - a 55" 4K TV with by far the highest refresh rate of the 3 at 1400PMI

All 3 of these include a 6 year guarantee and delivery to anywhere in Ireland

There are a few other models available under budget, but they are in-store only models

Have a look at these options and let me know what you think

    Cheers
    Brian
