Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was listening to his show when he announced that. Was shocked, felt terrible for him.

10.45 and we're only having the first mention of cancer/death now. (Phoney deaths on EastEnders don't count.) That has to be a record, hasn't it?

I like Bobby. His daughter looked upset, a nasty experience for any family

I remember seeing my father's uncle dying of cancer over forty years ago. It haunts me still

I'm not a fan of Tubridy, but he is interviewing about cancer, and by asking these questions he gives a guest like Bobby Kerr to show how positive he is.

That's such an accurate representation of what goes thru Tubs mind during these kinds of interviews, it's almost funny.

I am starting to think the table is there to stop Ryan showing his obvious excitement at peoples sickness and grief.

    Very impressed.

No wallowing for me, lads. I know what's important.

Bobby looks great after his illness. Fair play to him for going through horrible disease and for having a great positive outlook on life.

That's because cancer is a normal thing for cells to want to do, as wild as that sounds

But isn't Bobby on the way to being cured?

You are missing the point. Tubs has someone on every week talking about death/dying/cancer/suicide/incurable illnesses etc etc. And he handles them all terribly. Which then lessens the message of what is guest is trying to convey, which is a terrible shame.

Annoying how RTE bring religion into everything.

Don't ask why God let them get cancer in the first place.

Yeah, but it's still killing people. I'm not saying it's easy or anything, just with the advances in science we're still looking for cures. Maybe we will one day, maybe the pharmacutical companies don't want us to (tin foil hat), it's just an awful awful disease.

Here's a fun thing to try. Buy a muffin from Insomnia.

Put it on a stack of paper (in it's paper bag, it doesn't matter), then go away for a few days.

Come back, and count the layers of paper through which the grease has seeped, and count how many edges of the paper the grease has touched.

Did that in work once, left it there for the weekend. Haven't even considered buying one since.

First the bank goes, then the post office goes, then the pub goes, then it's gone.

We've all been through tough times alright. Tubridy is now down to only 7 hours work a week, and only getting 750k for it.

If I won the Lotto I still wouldn't go near coffee shops.

Mug of tea in the canteen or at home. Maybe a Kitkat. That'll do me grand.

Cancer is a disease of aging so the longer we live the more likely we are to get it and the more people will get it. It's a horrible horrible disease and fair play to people for sharing their stories to raise awareness.
