any advice for tough phone ?

Hi folks, maybe somebody would give me advice what to look for, good , fast, with great battery life tough phone.
going to be used harsh conditions... well .. what harsh you could imagine for mechanic ... oil , petrol ingress, greasy/oily fingers, pressure... if in pocket, usually between spanners/keys.

Have to support most of technology...

os lolypop and up

Price is not a concern.

Nokia used to do hardy ones too.

Not sure you'll get one with all the singing and dancing features though.

thanks. Would love to have with OS 5.1 and up. as these days self employed mechanic is very dependent of communications ... mostly web . battery life is very important... at least last for 12-14 hrs intensive work.

You could have a 2nd battery as spare, always have a charged one ready to go. They tend to be cheap enough on eBay etc.

Ok, budged not really infinite, if you look on SONIM xp7 , it is indeed over budged, but really interesting. not willing pay over 1 k for phone, unless could get on bill pay any network. .... most dangerous part is it may be lost or forgotten in somebody car (happen before).

Thanks. I had a look on it, well, battery is 2600 mAh. which is nearly same mine current sony z3 compact, which have to charge usually 2 times a day . , also my colleagues using some of CAT phones, not really happy with them, something with software, wont unlock, or no sound something. ... etc.

actually i do love iphone, my old iphone 5 was perfect(used 2 years on contract), apart battery (charged 3 times a day) and screen been replaced number times. I do like the way you may control apps .
is that so complicated put good guts in tough case ? Probably just money rocket in 10 years, as everything else...

I do will have a look on those tough phones, and cases... my next upgrade after a year, so might apple will do something descent, or get regular apple in tough case, or will be left with same sony z3 compact with some case and licking laptop screen on descent tough phone.

Sony z3 overall not bad, but hate that rubber thing which covers charger port, went missing, and might i dont know or what , but you cant control apps in android like in apple products.

Just a bit unclear model compatibility, first one says sony compact z3v , would that mean compact ? or regular z3 size ?

in other website sony z3 mini would be considered as compact ? 16 dollars, wouldn't be that bad.
