Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Look at the first few paragraphs. This is typical of the ****e in much of the media football coverage in Scotland. Desperate to keep Rangers in the spotlight.

    http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/14225330.Celtic_manager_Deila_defends_Stokes_loan_move_to_Hibs_amid_Rangers_concerns/?ref=rss
RONNY Deila last night dismissed suggestions that Celtic were wrong to sanction Anthony Stokes’s loan move to Hibs – due to the fact the striker could help to prevent Rangers from winning promotion to the Premiership.

Stokes, who has featured just twice for Celtic all season, has joined the Edinburgh club until the end of the 2015/16 campaign and is set to play for them in a Championship match against St. Mirren at Easter Road this afternoon.

The switch has been queried by many in Scottish football because Hibs are currently vying with Rangers, who are just five points clear in the second tier table with 16 games remaining, for a place in the top flight.

Ironic considering the media are constantly saying that Celtic want Ranger back, now they accuse Celtic of trying to hinder their chances. Laughable.

Pesky Celtic, trying to impact their rivals who , eh, play in a different division.

Never mind Rangers loaning 5 players from Newcastle - Hibs shouldn't be allowed take any players on loan.

Ah, The Old Firm. The Jeremy Kyle Show of football.

And you prove my point. Media keep trying to keep the so called 'Old Firm' to the forefront and use any angle to try and keep rangers relevant.

Newspapers need to be sold, air time advertising needs to be sold, web add need to be sold, subscriptions need to be sold.

Therefore what do you expect the media to do.
Rangers are still a big club with a big fan base regardless of their league position.
They ate still more relevant to Scottish football fans than most to the teams in the top flight.
So what's the big deal with them being discussed in the media ?

Why would they not be relevant? They're one of the two biggest clubs in the country.

Sorry, us Hibs are like the Russian Mafia.

Always up for bit of wheeling and dealing.

Of course they are a big club and all that but dragging them into a piece about a transfer that has nothing to do with them? And spinning it that its somehow underhanded of Celtic? They may well be rivals next season, fair enough. I would also suggest they are largely irrelevant to fans of other clubs outwith those in the c'ship.

Adding a Rangers angle to any story has the potential to sell that story better than say adding a Livingston angle to it.

That I thought would be obvious

There's a reason why the printed press is on a downwards slide in Scotland.
But lo and behold, they got you talking about what they wrote, job done.

As for other fans not caring about Rangers, that's a bit rich if you only even take the Rangers Off Field thread into consideration. Plenty of other club's fans message boards where Rangers are talked about frequently as well.

As is seen by the frenzy to put up posts about various courts cases but don't put up anything when decisisions don't suit them lol. Or even to the extent they funded a "journalist" to go to court and tweet on a case involving Rangers
