My son is going to the US on a J1 visa during the summer and I'm looking for some information on travel insurance before he departs. He doesn't have private health insurance at the moment, yet I'm hearing that it could be the way to go as the cost of health care is astronomical where as a standard travel insurance policy…

He doesn't have private health insurance at the moment, yet I'm hearing that it could be the way to go as the cost of health care is astronomical where as a standard travel insurance policy just wouldn't cover things 'if' things went wrong.
Anyone got any ideas?
