New build - 500 quid or so

Hi all,

I'm looking to build a PC and have managed to scrounge some parts from my old PC and my mates. Here's the standard summary:

1. What is your budget? €500

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Mostly gaming (Civ 5, Fallout 4, Just Cause 3)

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No, have one

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I have an SSD, case (custom built - large), keyboard, mouse, wireless network card, 500w PSU

5. Do you need a monitor? No

5a. If yes, what size do you need.n/a

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? Don't recall at the moment but it was pretty pricey so hope it's ok

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes

8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Laser]

9. When are you purchasing? In 15 days

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? No help required

I want keep the budget under 500 and with shipping from HWVS, it's currently about 530 so any advice on trimming the fat or even swapping out parts for better, similarly-priced ones would be really appreciated.

Dropping to a 950 will free up another few euro, you could drop to an i3 and up GPU to a R9 380 either

You've an SSD, but do you have a HDD for storage or is that included in the budget?

I do have a HDD alright. Should have mentioned that one. The only 5 components are those ones there

Why not change memory to something like corsair 1600 ddr3 as its only a couple of Euros more.
