In modern football its a probably a bigger part of a full backs role to be an outlet while attacking. Look at Dani Alves.. you think he's a super solid defender?

Yep it was absolutely shocking. And he does need to improve but i think there are multiple positions we need to worry about before we look at lb. He's not perfect but he's a good lb. He might not create tons of chances directly but he's one of the few players we have who creates space for others.

I think he should do his defending task first.

I really don't see what he brings to the attack, yes, he's fully of energy etc but he's pretty brainless on the ball and does not create that much.
