Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Another cash cow for Dana made to look bad.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,161 ✭✭✭Amazingfun

I can't understand what happened there really....?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

It didn't even look like he had it fully locked in.... Weird.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,813 Mod ✭✭✭✭riffmongous

Why did he tap? Doesnt look like there was even a hold there?

Oh and I do know what he was trying to do, just didnt look like it was being applied at all, there didnt seem to be much contact between arm and neck

Really enjoyed that. Sage looks unreal on his feet but he basically threw himself on the ground there and was in trouble from that point on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,649 ✭✭✭Whelo79

Super Sage doesn't like being beat on. Very strange tap!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,387 ✭✭✭Wrongway1985

Tapping like that and he is on 40/40 :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,610 ✭✭✭shocksy

Talk about a quick tap or what, very disappointing, that shows weakness as it wasn't even a full hold, strange as he was at half guard. he panicked. Sage Hype is now over after that performance.

    That promo.... Chills.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,813 Mod ✭✭✭✭riffmongous

You know I've never took people who claimed mma is fixed seriously before, but that was damn near hard to believe, anyone who has ever watched a handful of mma fights knows the defence to that move and he never even tried it, just gave up instead before it looked like it was even close to being locked in. I really dont want to go down that road but that was just weird

Sage kind of reminded me of Art Jimmerson there, seemed to freak out and tap far too quickly

    That entrance music :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,161 ✭✭✭Amazingfun

Nah not fixed, think what others have said applies: he just got caught in something he hadn't experienced before and panicked. Poor guy, the taunting will be something else, lol. But I bet he comes back better from it. Hope so anyways!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,387 ✭✭✭Wrongway1985

    Great round

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

19 years old and people are taunting him... Outrageous if you ask me. He has so much time to improve. 3 fights in 4 months means very little time for improved game plan.

He can now afford to take some time off, regroup and learn from his mistake and improve his game.

For all the hype, he is still very raw at this level.

I'm not going to argue it as I dont really believe it, all I know is everytime I see an arm triangle from the top I hear Bas Ruten screaming 'answer the telephone' in my head :D

Agreed 1000%, but you know well how this will play on FB, etc.
I am sure he'll get over it ;)

Imagine seeing Barnett being tapped out by Rothwell, what were the odds on that I wonder?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Come on Ben, do the laugh!!!

Bader walks out to paint it black.

Rumble walks out to some awful sounding Bieber style shyte.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,161 ✭✭✭Amazingfun

I like them both, but really wish Ryan a victory. Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,161 ✭✭✭Amazingfun

    Oh ****kkkkkk

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,494 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Rumble wins the fight with good takedown defence.

Not how I predicted the fight going! :D

Needed Bader on points for a 100 euro return on a treble... Bollocks. Nice from Johnson though. Very nice.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,480 ✭✭✭Devastator

    PHEW!

Bader is nowhere near the top guys at 205. Jones to beat DC then take on Rumble.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,161 ✭✭✭Amazingfun

Just unreal. Poor Ryan, he was just too eager and ****ed it all up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,305 ✭✭✭The Clown Man

The power Rumble has is nuts.

Lovely transition to mount though - kimura was never going anywhere and he capitalised.

Yup, with shades of Aldo thrown in.

Anyhow, I really like Rumble, glad for him!

Anthony Johnson's improved his ground game for sure. Coupled with that power, he is a very dangerous fighter at 205.

Still question marks over his cardio I'm sure but early doors he is a ferociously dangerous fighter.

I know Cormier is champ but I wish he'd just piss off for a while so we get Jones/Johnson. :D

    Main card - good
Prelims - bag of crap for the most part.

    Off to bed. Night lads.
