I see they have updated the website saying info is "Coming Soon"

    http://www.forbiddenfruit.ie/

Does anyone know when a line up will be rolled out?
Odd that Longitude is on after and Tickets on sale / line up announced before hand.

Looking to plan a weekend around it. Anyone have any info on it?
    Cheers

They've just announced the dates and they say the lineup is coming out next week:

Looks decent, I quite like Flume and Jungle. Looks like they've dropped the Rap theme this year.

Weren't Groove Armada and MJC on the bill last year too?

Pretty much every act there has played in Ireland multiple times in the last couple of years. Pretty much every act there has a dick. There's a trend developing here.

    Any word on day tickets?

Happy with the line up , Tame Impala were great at EP last year and Flume & Jungle the year before.

No interest in Underworld so gonna wait to see what day Tame Impala are on before getting a ticket

Was just thinking today that Tame Impala have to tour Ireland soon! Will definitely get a day ticket for this. I see they're at Primavera on the Thursday before this, so not sure what that indicates in relation to what day they'll play here.

not a bad start, but will wait for more names or day breakdowns before getting a ticket.

Meh! All of those acts have played here in the past year or two. Underworld at EP last year and 2 years before that. Jungle at Longitude last year and EP the year before that along with olympia..All the rest play here on a regular basis..

Maya Jane Coles has a vagina though.

How much are day tickets? Be tempted for Tame Impala

For christs sake its all stuff I've seen over the last few years at other fests so it seems pointless to go to this again.

Tame impala only ever played here once (Aug 2013)

Tale of us certainly don't play here regularly

They closed the Electric arena on Sunday last year at EP.

Wouldn't mind heading along to see Flume, new album due soon but not much else there for me just seems to be lacking something. When you compare the first year (I think) Flaming lips and Aphex twin

Most of the acts have played at some festival or another in the past year or two, but the line up is impressive. Delighted to see they have a few more bands this year as the DJ/hip hop line up last year attracted quite an immature crowd. Despite a lot of these having played a good bit here in the past few years I've always ended up missing a lot of them, have never seen Tame Impala, Jungle, Flume or Kiasmos before. Strange that they have Groove Armada back again this year after playing last year too, wish it was a live set as their DJ sets aren't great. More than likely will go to this, but will wait for more info to decide whether I get a day ticket or a weekend one. I would also guess there is still one headliner TBA as Underworld & Tame Impala seem likely for two nights but I can't see anyone else being headliner material.

Does anyone know when the day breakdowns are released? I just dont want to have to buy a whole weekend ticket as i will probably only make one day.

And what is an internet forum for but for mouthing off about things you don't like?

All I see when I look at the Life and FF lineups is the same couple of dozen acts that are on semi-annual rotation in District 8, Opium Rooms and Button Factory along with a sprinkling of acts lifted from last summers festivals. Compare and contrast to the lineups below.

I can see what you mean that the line ups aren't exactly creative considering most of these acts have played a good few times in Ireland in the past year or two, but if they were to take risks on a lot of the more underground/less well known acts that are playing at say Gottwood, would they pull a big enough crowd? I wouldn't be so sure. Ireland isn't that big of a country and the electronic music scene would not be anywhere near as big as the UK or Germany, etc. I think both the Forbidden Fruit and Life line ups are strong so far but they have both announced a lot of recycled acts. I'm sure EP & Body & Soul will snap up a lot of good electronic acts who haven't been announced for an Irish festival yet.

Also I don't see the big deal about not having many females on the line up. Surely they have booked the acts based on their popularity/music rather than their gender.

Was Forbidden Fruit always dance orientated? Hope the other festivals have more rock/indie acts now a lot are playing there.

No they only began to focus and dance acts last year, previous years have had indie rock headliners Kasabian, Primal Scream ect

Not totally true as Aphex Twin headlined the very first festival! Jamie xx & Caribou also playing that day if memory serves me right along with some other dance names scattered around the place! I've always found they've had a mix of dance & rock acts.

Also the Battles, Dan Le sac and the Scroobius Pip, Solar Bears, Errol Alkin, Aeroplane, Logo (French DJs) so quite a bit of dance stuff there.

I notice that on two of them line ups Daniel Avery is listed, I can't believe that Life never scooped him, so hopefully Body & Soul will or Electric Picnic, his Drone Logic album is amazing. He only ever played that one day festival Boxed Off in Dublin last year.
