That's a very common type of call to not get reversed, tbh.

If it has been ruled a catch and Denver challenged, it would have remained a catch.

While I thought it was a catch, I actually said to my house mate that I'd be shocked if it was reversed.

As one of the BBC pundits put it - it has to be conclusive for the call on the field to be reversed. Compare that to the Rugby 3rd Ref, who appears to have more leeway.

Was watching talib from the start of that play. Casual in his stance, slow on the break and off on the coverage, and then the nasty face mask.

It has to be blatantly obvious for the ruling on the field to be reversed, if you have to even debate it then the ruling on the field will stand 99% of the time.
