Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

People give out about the breaks in play - you need them.

I find the action very quick and they go away and come back and match is sort of on.

    It is mad stuff.

Not 100% familiar with all the nuances of the game so pardon me if this is a stupid question, but why does it matter whether he was touched or not if his knee went down? Does a QB knee not always stop the play?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

I'm just waiting for 'the ruling on the field stands even though this one is every bit as clear as the other one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

You would have got serious odds on that, probably still would actually

Lost too much money on the NFL this year! Mightnt look too great of a call if Denver go 3 and out again here. :pac:

Psychological victory maybe, but not sure it was worth it tbh

A QB knee or any other player never stops the play unless he is touched

No more challenges for the half or game?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Didn't know that now. Out of challenges. Could be huge.

Silly that they loose a challenge even though they won

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Easy for me to say, but it's not worth the 7 yards for me. A long, long time to go with no challenges left.

Definitely not worth it for 7 yards

Retarded that if you win a challenge you lose it

A player can go to the ground by themselves and get back up. The opposing team touching them when they are on the ground makes them down by contact.

Panthers look to have settled their nerves now.

For the rest of the game, they only get 2 unless they got 2 right, in which case they get a 3rd.

Who would you rather build a D around, Miller or Kuechly?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Broncos offense reverting to type now after a positive 1st drive.

Ah right, that's what I was getting at. Didn't know a deliberate knee was treated differently to an accidental one.

Psychological victory maybe, but not sure it was worth it tbh

It's hardly fair they loose their one remaining challenge for challenging a wrong decision on the field.

No the clock keeps running. A kneel down at the end of the game is th run out the clock.

Gotta tell ya, even with the horrible start I was so happy to get this bet on when the odds shifted

    Already had

and if there is another score or maybe two before half time this is looking nice too

I'm hoping Manning continues to weaken as the game goes on and the Panthers don't **** themselves over :)

Who'd have guessed that the 49ers field would cause issues tonight?

Carolina ****ed themselves pretty good right there now since I just mentioned it

Jesus cam, stop lamping every pass at a billion miles an hour and somebody might be able to catch something.

Major balls up on special teams by the panthers there.

Thought for a second there that we might see a touchdown on that punt return. 61yds, longest in SuperBowl history, they said.

I'm starting to think it might actually be destiny that Peyton wins. And I know that's bullshít.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Broncos need 7 here. Can't see their offense getting into the red zone too many more times tonight.

Carolina certainly making all the big play mistakes they need to let Denver win.

Are people really saying they'd build the D around Luke over Von?? One is one of the most dynamic pass rushers in the game (maybe history) and the other is an awesome all round ILB. There's a reason that olbs get paid and ilbs lag behind. Von offers waaay more in what actually wins games.

Good work by the Carolina D to keep that to 3 points

Broncos really struggling on 3rd & shorts

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 694 ✭✭✭Zoton

Surely panthers should have declined the penalty and taken the ball back instead of giving broncos a field goal in such close range?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,033 ✭✭✭✭bnt

U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday over the PA ... kinda appropriate. ;)
