Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mignolet is so bad, no idea why he passes short.

Do we practice our crossing against 4 and 5 yo children?

Even they would cut out our crosses once they were over 3 foot tall.

I've seen better games on my front lawn.

Very food play from Ibe there

Ibe did well there for that move a couple of times.

Might be my imagination, but it seems more prevelant this year than usual.

Jesus, a half-decent Liverpool corner. End times must be upon us.

Whoever took that corner, must be our new captain.

Nah, it's sang at nearly every game in Anfield, even by fans of teams from shítholes, like Sunderland.

Brannagan gets great whip on his crosses.

Acquitting themselves well so far are the kids.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,501 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Brannagan looks as good as Ward-Prowse with his set pieces. Needs to make the match day squad more often, even if that's all he can do. There's no point having Benteke on the pitch unless we have someone like him feeding him.

Well if I was a West Ham or Sunderland fan (ugh) for example, I certainly would be singing about anything other than my own team.

Unlucky, that's what Benteke needs to be doing more of to be successful in the team.

Not wanted to claim victimisation but it sounds almost like an anti scouse 'racism' thing. Can't think of stuff like that with other clubs. Could be wrong of course.

I love Slaven Bilic for wearing that hat all the time. He doesn't give a ****.

If Henderson or can starts ahead of Allen midweek klopp needs a kick up the hole
Currently best midfielder at the club

A lot of soft fouls being given, can't call that's a high foot at all.

Not sure how that was a free out. The West Ham player had his head really low.

Joe Allen is actually far more intelligent a footballer than any of our other midfielders, if we're honest.

Seriously, take away the fact he's Rodgers' son, and ask yourself the question.

Missed most of the first half. Any flashpoints?

Great shot by Brannagan. Lovely save.

There's the Benteke we all know and...eh...would rather see on the bench.

    Texiera too smart for him.

Someone needs to tell Ibe he's allowed to pass to the other lads in red.

    Good shot and save there.

The big problem is that our midfielders are all too similar, Allen offers something different and would help the others play better too.

O'Brien and Jelavic on...christ. Suddenly a strong WHU team is not looking that good.

Lovely boos for the ex Everton man. He's well gonna score now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,036 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

I like that the kids aren't afraid to play the ball to the feet of someone in the box, trusting that they can hold off a challenge and make another pass...the seniors never do that, instead passing around outside forever before losing it or shooting from miles.

A ball to feet in the box, with others making runs for the layoff, causes chaos in the defence.

This ref is having a laugh, nothing fouls everywhere.

That double sub could be either forced but for the good (Jelavic to score) or an issue late on.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,633 ✭✭✭✭Buford T. Justice XIX

I wouldn't mind seeing either of Stewart or Brannigan in the match day squad.

Both able to move the ball well.

Also part of the team that missed the ball out of play mid week for Man City's goal V Everton

For a big fella, Benteke generally has no interest in hustling for the ball.

Also seems to hate a quick layoff and just hangs onto it pointlessly when he gets it to feet.

Ibe is not really good enough in the games I've seen him in. Teixeira should be the first team regular instead.

How is that not a yellow card for Reid? I thought things like that were automatic yellows these days?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,347 ✭✭✭✭Grayditch

Playing well enough. West Ham are set up well and I'm not sure we'll get anything from giving it to Benteke on the ground.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,633 ✭✭✭✭Buford T. Justice XIX

Benteke doesn't really get this whole football lark.

    Rick Grimes strikes again.
