Solicitor (Estimate) Costs - House Purchase

    Hi
    Can anyone advise estimated costs of Solicitor fees for the purchase of a Bungalow ( not new ).

    Just looking for rough estimates before making a few calls.

    Solicitor fees can range between 750 and 1500 plus vat

    Then you have the standard costs they have to pay out on your behalf

    Eg, buying a 240k house cost me 4500 in total of which the solicitor fee was 1300

    Did the 4500 include "Stamp Duty - 1% at the moment " ?

    Would you have a list of the full charges by any chance and what year did the costs (4500) apply ?

    Yes, that included 1% stamp duty and registration fee of 895, costs are for this year
