Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Are there any non-tied to your ISP suppliers of IP-TV?

Is it possible to get internet from one company and an ip-tv package (like eir vision) from someone else?

You would end up paying twice..... but it would depend on what input points you would have.. ie I am sure you get UPC broadband and eir vision no issue but dont see how you could have lets say vodafone broadband and eir vsion

Vodafone broadband is basically wholesale EIR broadband whereas Virgin/UPC is Docsis based cable broadband. I really don't understand why you would say that?

most if not all iptv systems are only accessible downstream in the network they are destined for, due to rights/regional and bandwidth cost issues etc, providers do not stream openly on the internet outside their own networks

ANDY454 Sorry for the late response but your point is well made and after a bit of research I have come to the same conclusion. There are some dodgy providers who claim to offer an untied IP TV service but I am pretty sure this isn't legal.

It strikes me that this will happen eventually but we aren't there yet due as you say to rights and licensing issues.

I wouldn't call it IPTV but AerTv streaming is the closest thing we have to an Irish IPTV service that works cross provider
