I think Cameron's going to have to resign, no matter what the final result!

Why would have to resign if they vote remain?

Edinburgh making a difference! Great margin for stay.

Several large English votes for Leave just wiped out that result.

Good, it's been far too high for too long. Much better for jobs and exports.

Itll make uk imports cheaper from uk but exports dearer for them to buy so not good for jobs/exports here
Yes, a short term problem for Ireland - but hopefully only short term. There would be a case for UK / EU help for Irish exporters if the problem persists.

from whom? the UK would have bigger problems and EU won't want to give concessions to a leaving country

    Leave now 1/6

The fat lady is about to start up. Leave side are looking very pleased with themselves now. Back biting and recrimination beginning among the Remain side.

If its leave, SNP have a mandate for another Independence referendum.

Yep, Osborne has pretty much put his job on the line here.

Osbourne could be ****ed as well, horror few months for him, his disability cuts and this have really hurt him

Boris will want the Tory mps who were on the leave bandwagon in the big positions.

Why would the EU do that? And Norway has free movement of people, something the UK had an issue with....

The EU will not give favourable deals to the UK, it wouldn't be advantageous to do so, it would weaken the Union.

Norway has a population of about 5 million, the UK has a population of about 65 million. It would be fairly advantageous to the EU to keep the UK on side. I'd be surprised if the UK couldn't negotiate a better deal than Norway.

Scottish voters aren't half going to get confused. SNP telling them to vote Leave, then vote Remain, then vote Leave again! :)

Now that would be interesting! Is there any timeline or deadline?

If one was in control of the order that constituencies were reported they could make a killing on the financial markets.

It's not any kind of mandate. This is not an election.

    51% is a win.

Osbourne might resign anyway. Let the Brexiters sort out their own mess.

What mess? It's the democratic will of the British people.

I can't see anything but a Leave win.

Meanwhile Sterling is continuing to fall and the FTSE futures show near a 9% drop.

If the UK leave, England's relationship with Wales, NI, Scotland and especially Ireland is crucial.
There would be a clear political case for both the EU and UK to fix a problem such as this. I'm talking about
Ireland. Ireland has no plans to leave (yet).

Doesn't mean it won't be bad for them.

The mess of exiting the EU, it won't be easy. And there will be hard decisions for someone to make.
