On BBC 1 it says 'BBC Forecast: UK Votes to Leave'.

I wonder what the Americans will make of it all.

Hopefully this will be the end of the United Kingdom.

The nationalist in me gets great joy in the Union crashing and burning.

    Cruel, I know :pac::pac:

I cannot believe the stupidity of the people of the U.K.

The irony is the vast majority are fast asleep completely oblivious to the new reality that awaits them in an hour or two. Oh well if there is any justice Cameron is in his final hours as PM. But the instability this will cause (not just to the UK) is crazy.

Sterling could lose its reserve currency status.

its not worth putting your economy in such a risk for that.

Sunderland which relies so much on Nissan, voted for leave, turkeys, Xmas etc..:(

I wonder are they? A popular vote for exit of the EU may possibly offer attractive alternatives to The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland.

Of course the short thinking Irish view is that's grand lads we'll be (pretty much) the only English speaking country in the EU, so investment, 500m market etc.

Except now there is a quite real possibility of a disintegration of the entity that is the EU. So, in short, no comon market, and Ireland once more a backwater on the periphery of continental Europe.

All those Britons with Irish parents and grandparents might be planning for an Irish/EU passport now, not to mention those north of the border who are legally entitled to one. Might be a busy time for the passport office.

All the sites I tend to use are so slow right now but I'm getting between £1:€1.23 and £1:€1.22.

    The Pound has tanked.

Leave vote is now ahead by 1million. It's practically confirmed at this point.

Full Northern Ireland Vote is now in: Strong remain vote only North antrim (62/37) had a significant leave vote rest were only by a margin of a few percent. Several areas that were remain were by significant margins.

Anyone else hoping a Leave vote will greatly fuel Irish and Scottish nationalism?

The dreams of a United Ireland and an Independent Scotland don't seem far away anymore!

Scotland had their chance and they screwed it.

The last thing we can afford right now is a united Ireland.

I like the juxtaposition of Dave's No.10 door and Boris's No.20 door being put side by side on Sky News :D
