Bratislava to Ljubljana

We are flying direct to Bratislava and next day hoping to get a train from there to Ljubljana via Vienna I enquired about the train and they said the journey was €102 :eek::eek: I dont mind if it is a return ticket (we have to get back to Bratislava as we fly from there) but if one way that would be dearer than our flight and some accommodation!!!
Has anyone travelled Bratislava to Ljublijana? If so did you go via train or is there a bus to Vienna then train. Im nearer thinking it would be cheaper to fly to Slovenia from Slovakia :rolleyes:

yea, theres a bus from Vienna to Ljubljana for €29 each way

You can get it from Bratislava for a fiver more, but its a fairly early departure from there. Best to just get to Vienna the night before if you ask me.
