    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone would have a rough idea of how much to remove a fireplace and plaster the wall would be? We are in the middle of buying a house and if all goes well and we get moved in soon its one of the first jobs needing doing before we redecorate. There are 3 rooms that need to be done. Its in Dublin

    TIA

    Hi,

Did you get this work done at the end.
I am in the same situation.

    How much did it cost?

    Can you recommend someone?

    Thanks

    Thanks.
I am planning to do some work myself and I am also removing fireplaces.
I have been price 345 euro each + vat and I wanted to have a comparison to is the price is fair.

In my opinion, That price is ok for the work required

I thought it is a bit high.
    2 people, one day job.
300 euro for labour (150 euro each? Not sure what is the rate)
200 euro materials (not sure what they would need)
Total 500 euro Vs quotation of c. 1000 euro. It looks like a big margin.

    Am I missing anything?
