I just got a present of a Lenovo N20P from the US. Unfortunately, the plug is an American 3 pin plug (one round and 2 flat pins). The rating on the plug is 125V/ 10amp. I just bought an adaptor from Harvey Normans with a 13 amp fuse and rated 220v. Is it ok to connect my Chromebook using the adapor? Thanks.

You need a transformer if the charger doesnt say 110-230v. If you connect it with just a UK Plug to US Plug adapter it will blow the charger.

    Be careful with US appliances.

You can get a transformer to fix the voltage but some items are also frequency dependent.

US : 110 volts and 60 cycles frequency

    Europe : 220/240 volts 50 cycles.
